Well, your guys sure haven't had any problems with us lately. The last 2 games you won 14-4 and 10-2. When did your guys learn to hit?

I have NO idea why one year has made such a difference with my Red Gryphs. Honestly I keep expecting the crash to happen but this team just keeps rolling. My only real addition this year was Jose Ramirez and not like he's about to win MVP. But seems every player - pitchers especially - have had a 180. I think the off season steroid program has really kicked them into high gear and the hiring of Brian McNamee was a good one.

Or maybe the crash is just coming late in the season??? I'm sure the Clippers are giggling about a chance to knock us out?

I can't tell you how happy that makes me being in the same division as you.

Mid-day standings update... my brother-in-law (Darmstadt Howlers) bought perfect Barry last night, so he is definitely determined to beat me (Evansville Batbirds). By the way, it is Darmstadt, Indiana, not Germany. We live just a few miles apart.

I have to admit, I like his chances.

Holy smokes. That is dedication to the mission. Gotta admire an owner willing to open the vault. He would have paid Harper $350 million for 13!

LOL

I wouldn’t sweat it too much. This team has a lengthy history of choking when it matters.

The last 2 days of every July when playing on the road in a division game after a night game then playing a day game followed by another night game against Chris Carpenter then Larry Dierker my team learns to hit. I think you were just unlucky that all those things fell into place.

Standings Sept 10 with about 18 games to go... tight race now for top overall and home field advantage. I knew the Red Gryphs would come back to earth, just took longer than usual this season.

Good luck everyone!

I think we will be saying goodbye to the Kitchen Party and the Gators. The other two spots for relegation are hotly contested.

Not the best time to lose 9 in a row.

We're up 4.5 in the WC race at the moment, so maybe we'll get "lucky" and get to play your guys in the playoffs. I'm sure that will go well for our team. We're 0-7 against you this year and we didn't do well last year against the Gryphons either. Now if we can just hang on. It's like this almost every year. I never know if we're going to make the playoffs until the last day or two in the season. I think I'll just not check until right at the end this time.

LOL. I bought Pesky only to find that I bought him from someone else in this league.

Of all the team setup, the Strawberry Milk truck is unique and working. No starting pitchers, just relievers. Got to give him credit. I thought about it, but I just could not do it.

I figured I was definitely getting relegated until I went 18-9 in August and 11-9 so far in Sep. That puts me in 7th place.

I did some upgrades to survive. Bought Rivera. He rewarded me with 2 blown save loses and a 11.57 ERA.

So my Clippers are 1 win away from winning 90 games for the 1st time ever (we won 89 twice before). Unfortunately, our 2 remaining games are against the Milk Trucks and they've been tough for us to beat so I'm not too confident about our chances.

My 2 goals for the team before the start of the year was to win 90+ games and win 1 playoff round. Maybe this will be the year? Time's running out since I'll be focusing more on my OOTP 20 team pretty soon, so I'd like to get this soon.

Good luck to all in the playoffs!

Finally, we got 90! Now on to meet the Cheeseheads in the WC round. I'm glad that we get to play them at home since their ballpark minimizes HRs and this season, we're finally one of the better teams in that department.
