NO $ for Coaches After I Fire One

After taking reins of the 2002 NYM, the first thing I did was fire Steve Phillips as my director of scouting. (A reasonable action, any full-blooded Met fan would have done the same).

Problem is, I now have no $$ to purchases the services of someone else.

I can promote, but that still leaves me short.

How can I get the cash needed? And/ or

If I am left with an open position can I trust what's coming out in scouting or development?

You should still be able to sign "the lowest" paid coaches.

Nope. Can't sign I a coach for $ 200000 for 3 years.

In addition I masterminded a five-player deal with Boston for Mr. Alomar.
Everything went through, I adjusted the depth charts and line-ups.
Played my first week and LOST all of the players in the trade (they went back to Boston) and I LOST Mr. Alomar.
The trade was recorded in the transaction news, but never went through.

Is this game stable? I'm growing less fond of it by the hour.

Try signing the coaches for 1 year. I have NEVER seen or heard of the other issue you mention. Are you certain that one of the the teams involved in the deal was human owned? Did you check the minor leagues of those teams as that is where players are placed when trade and NOT on the major league rosters.

And, yes the game is stable. I have played and or simmed 100's of seasons and had "one" crash this year.

Nope. The message is returned "You can not afford this contract"

With Alomar the strange thing is from the league transaction news I can still link to his html file, btw, shows up as a Met. But under 'find player by name', under trades, he's missing. -Gone.
