Well done everyone on a very close and fun week! Doesn't get any closer than game 163 to determine a wild card spots. This league is awesome. Congrats to all our play-off teams and best of luck tomorrow!

our starting playoff tree...
Glad I don't have to meet Zorro in the wild card. At least we get to battle it out for a few games. May the better (ahem...luckier) team win tomorrow. Time to put a prayer in to the OOTP gods. Last edited by joehart; 02-24-2019 at 03:09 AM. |

Well now I know anything can happen and you are never out of the race. I was 14 and a half games out at one point in fourth place. I was also 40-41 at half season. Also this is not one of my better teams so it proves that a Whale team of 95 points against a team of 50 point team means nothing. It all depends on the team. This Night Watch Team was not as high of quality as others we had face with less points. I am not putting them down at all just stating a fact. This was one of my weaker teams. Rocky Point never really felt like Rocky Point all season and was still able to beat out a 90 point team. My team usually leads the league in batting and this season I had one .300 hitter and he only played a fourth of the year and we still won. I stick by my theory that the perfect player cards means nothing. (Or little) It just depends on the cards. Well anyway I won my Division and I am very proud I was able to keep the streak going of never going two season in a row without a Division Championship but this team will not go far in the Playoffs. We are just not good enough to compete against great teams Like Bobs Burger Or Seattle let alone any of the giants in thebNC Conference. I hope this was just a fluke season for my hitters and some pitchers because otherwise I will have to make some wholesale moves and design a new team. Good luck to all who are in the Playoffs and we have some very good teams in this. The NC is loaded with killers. Anytime you can keep the Breakers out of the Playoffs you know you are loaded. Should be very interesting.😁

Seymour by far. Even though I only play him against right handers. Cobb strikes out to much in important situations and then gets 4 hits and 3 SB when we take the lead. He is good but Seymour is a winner. I can usually count on him when I need a win.

Thank you my friend. This was definitely not one of my better teams so I needed all the help I could get. I do not see us going far in the Playoffs with all these good Playoff teams...😁

Thank you my friend but to be honest we had a pretty weak Division this year so I was lucky to be the one who made it through but I do not expect to go far in the playoffs. This is not one of my better teams and the teams in the Playoffs this year look very good. In truth this might be one of the strongest playoff fields yet. To be honest the only team I am confident I might be able to beat is the Crows. Lol. Go figure. 🤷*♀️

Thank you my friend but this was not one of my finest years.(Team) I do not expect to go far in the playoffs. To many good teams and I was fortunate just to keep my streak going. I might need a major overhaul in the coming years. We just did not have that killer instinct that I become accustomed to in this team. We were very fortunate to be here. 😁

Wow what a comeback in the WC playoff game Down 4-1 going into the 8th and then getting 2 in the 8th and 2 in the bottom of the 9th to win. Wow. Great job. I feel so badly for the Alchemists, If that was me I would carry that loss for a month. 😖 But GREAT job Orcin, You got it done.

I do not think you have much to worry about my friend. You have the better team. You have played more consistent baseball and were very strong the second half. We are missing something this season and I still have not figured out what as yet. 🤷*♀️

Jeez, I just checked out the first round of the playoffs and I am going to get swept. I have Ruth and Seymour cold which would be ok cause I could bench them but I am going into a lefthand hitting ballpark who are throwing right hand hitting pitchers at me so my lack of lefties force me to play them. If that is not bad enough they have 3 hot pitchers and two of them are starters. I have no left handed replacements for both Ruth and Seymour because both play in the OF and I am very thin there with only Ichiro as a replacement which would be fine in Ruth’s place but I need Seymour to hit if I expect to have a chance. I could go outside my team to build a playoff replacement but I always thought it a cheesy thing to do. So I guess I just roll the dice (Something I usually never do) and hope Ruth and Seymour come out of their slump together or else bring out the brooms cause I just got swept. 😉. This is getting real old. Another playoff and again a big fat loser.

The biggest thing that worked for me this season was installing 97 Randy and 96 Pedro as dual stoppers. They combined to go 26-9 with 31 saves in 167 appearances, covering 275.1 IP with a 5.2 WAR. I'll take that.

Wow I have never realized how good the Seattle Base Thieves Are. They have won their Division every single season in their existence . They also have won A Perfect League Championship. They are quite the Organization. Never saw that before.😉
