Batter Rating

Just for fun

Based on the plate appearances at perfect level.
Base stealing is not included

50 = average batter

Trout & Betts have the biggest samples. Their numbers are very stable.

I think Perfect Mike Trout might be the best card in the entire game when factoring in price/availability. He almost always available for ~25k, routinely places toward the top of WAR leader boards, and can even win gold gloves.

The perfect cards are the best cards... shocking.

If only he would stop hitting in the low 200's for me in the first month or two of the season. He usually auto corrects by the end of the year but it is dreadful to see him being out hit be defense first players.

Last year he started in the mid .190's, but by the end of the year he only got back to .210. This year in Perfect (his first trip), he is hitting .169.

When I had Aaron Judge it was pretty much the same story, he was basically defense only until around the all star break. Unfortunately, his hot second half never made him any more than a league average hitter by the end of the year.

This is cool, thanks for sharing!

Did you include defense or ballpark factors?

Sorry for being slow here, but I do not understand how this rating is arrived at and what it means.
