Hit by pitch rating?

I've never really checked to see if the game keeps HBP ratings for hitters. I know control can influence that for pitchers. I've looked but haven't found something equivalent for hitters. So is there is a hidden rating controlling it, or if it is entirely pitcher controlled?

I ask because a tried out Ron Hunt for a bit in a bronze league, and discovered he has no advantage in that regard. He is somewhat unique in having HBP making no small part of his offensive value, so if that isn't accounted for, I might as well ditch him now.

Players do have hbp ratings. The rating given is based on how many times they will get hit per 550 pa. I am currently replaying 1973, so I looked up Ron Hunt. He has a rating of 29.

Thanks, followed up with looking around for myself and found that rating also in the player editor. Since this mode doesn't have the editor, I find myself wondering if the rating is still used in this mode or if it is just hidden.
