28-4 Win...

Holy crap! I just won a game 28-4 and earned 6,190 perfect points in the process!

I'm not even sure how to get my head around this...

First thing I do when I have a big win is check to see how good the opponent is (make sure nothing fishy is going on)

It was a valid win; 16 hits, 19 walks (opponents used 8 pitchers), 1 error, thus 36 runners. 5 multi-run homeruns. I just never had a game like that, and 6000+ PPs makes a nice gift

19 walks? Who were the pitchers and at what level is the league?

I'm in my second year in Bronze, and the opposing staff was a Silver starter with a mix of Bronze and Iron relievers to follow. The team got to the point near the end when they issued 6 walks in a row and there wasn't anyone left to bring in.

Although I love getting the points, I can't even imagine what it would be like to be on the receiving end of that...

Had a similar 6500+ PP win a few seasons ago in a Gold league. Won 27-0 and didn't get a complete game out of Dierker, either.

Another time I got 4000 PP in a game I lost when it ended a 12 game winning streak and my starter struck out four in an inning. In that inning, the PB third strike batter scored on a HR and that's why we lost. So bittersweet game.

I can. My worst loss this year in P415 was on 27 June. Jody Davis, Live Bryce Harper, and Rookie Tulo all pitched in a 25-0 loss. I guess my bullpen was gassed from everyone throwing 5 pitches in the 9 inning game the day before, because my team is not designed for position players to regularly pitch.

Losing, and losing big specifically, is never going to be fun, but eventually you get used to it. I've become so numb to everything that I don't even bother to look at my box scores anymore. Thank God I'm about to finally be relegated down, because 4 years in Perfect was 4 years too many for this crap squad.
