I don't believe TCR has anything to do with periodic performance, only with ratings changes.

Since ratings in PT do not change (other than positional experience) TCR is irrelevant to PT (and is thus turned off afaik).

Well, I'm sure some folks will have their doubts or think they know better, but that's ok

That's just a competitive advantage for me if I'm in their league

(and I need all the help I can get).

I think this thread has run its course. OOTP is by far the most realistic sports simulation engine ever and the results you see are what you can expect if X versions of player Y played against the same competition as they do in PT
