Can a pitcher learn a new pitch that isn't listed on his profile?

So, I've been playing a savegame that I was in charge of the Samsung Lions of the KBO, but it started crashing during the same date, so I've decided to start a new game, but since I didn't start with Samsung the first time I have no clue if my future ace pitcher will be a beast like he was on the first save, because when I see him on the new game he only has two pitches, I wonder if he will get the third one or if I should restart. Here it is the screenshot of him on the first save https://imgur.com/a/1Acm65U and here it's him now https://imgur.com/a/OqkDMVl.

PS: I'm sorry if the post is too long or in the wrong area.

i'd help no matter where it is

yeah, but it is rare and you cannot predict nor plan for it to happen. best bet, related to TCR setting, so increasing that probably increases rate? total guess on that second part. (talent change randomness setting -- global settings of league)

edit:

historic or real modern player? bit more difficult to answer without knowing choices of various historical settings. if it's "free-will", it'll be what i said above.. if it's following history more specifically with various related settings, then i'd assume he'd get them as they happened in history. not 100% sure about non-fictional play.

It can happen but it's both random and very unlikely for any one player. So odds are, even in a hundred replays, that same guy doesn't get the same pitch/talent boost again
