I'm actually in my 4th season. My goal lately has been to do net loss 50%+ on any upgraded position. Probably illogical, but I see that as a worthy upgrade. So Clift is a $2K return for me, which means I need to spend $4K+ and make sure it's worth it.

I have about $5.5K right now. Can sell a couple on the reserve roster and get up to around $6K.

I keep wishing this thread was titled “Talk thirdy to me.”

I can't find the 89 Beltre. The 89 Machado is a decent fielder and bat and could be a SS as well.
89 Sandoval is one of the best defensive 3b's in the game. He:Is one of the few LHB at 3b. The other LHB 3b, of course, is Boggs, But he is not good on defense and "boggs" down the base paths with his lack of speed.

I ended up with the Brooks Robinson at third. Happy with my results thus far.

Now trying to figure out whether Yount is worth replacing with Pee Wee Reese or Rich Aurilia at SS.

Thank you all for your input. I learned some stuff.

Rookie Tulo trains up really high at 3B and is a great platoon option vs LHP.

Struggles a little against RHP but he can pack up any IF position at a high level.

This would be Tulowitzki? I keep seeing his card (though not right now) and pining. But I can't keep my points in my pocket. Just lost out on a Chris Carpenter bid, so I'm getting pretty close to where I need to be now.

There is a "rookie Tulo" that is much cheaper than his diamond card, which is not worth what it is going for, in my opinion.

I think I reached third base when I was about 15 or so.

Rookie Tulo is leading my tied for 1st Diamond team in WAR

The Diamond card is grossly overpriced and probably isn't worth the 20-30k difference from his Silver counterpart.
