Thank You! (and a quick question)
I hope that this forum is monitored, at least occasionally, by the guys at OOTP because I wanted to give a big thank you for fixing the issue with TB 2.5 and Windows 10.
I would not have blamed the company one bit if they had simply let the game slide into oblivion, but they still took the time to fix it when I have to doubt that the game itself brings in any money at this point...very cool. While I am here, I do have a quick question. I am using auto-aging in a universe. I have auto aging selected and always inform selected in the aging tab. I have set the fighters to beginning career stage. I have step up to pre prime set at 5 to 7 bouts. All of my fighters have 5-8 bouts and nobody has moved to pre prime. Has anyone encountered this? Thanks for reading. |

Check your fighters to make sure "Auto-Aging activated" is checked under under the "Fighter" tab. Real fighters have CS Adjustment inactive by default.

Auto Aging
That sounded like the culprit. I just had a chance to check and here is where it gets a bit weird.
Under each fighter that I am using there are two sets of ratings. A TBCB3 DB Team Prime rating AND an auto-generated Beginning stage rating that I must have somehow created. When I attempt to mass edit a group it says that all of the fighters have been set to CS adjust and they have! The problem is, it's the TBCB3 DB Team rating that is set to CS adjust, but the Auto Generated rating that is being used still has CS Adj unchecked in the ratings page for each fighter. I am pretty sure I got this to work before, but for some reason I am getting this weird result this time. Thank you for taking the time to try and help on this, if you have any ideas I would love to hear them. But, if not, no worries, I appreciate that you weighed in. |

While in your universe, click Options. Go to the Miscellaneous tab. The bottom most button should say "Set all fighters to CS Adj." Click that to activate CS Adjustment for all fighters.

The prime TBCB3 set and the the prime auto generated set are cs adj, but the beginning auto-set is not cs adj, and is still the default rating set to be used in the game..LOL.. Anyway, it's still a pretty small uni, so I might just go through and set all the fighters to CS adj myself or just start over...No big loss here. Still not sure what I did wrong, but I'm sure it was something. Thanks again. |

I have had this and where is what I did make sure all are at PRIME AND CS Adjust THEN do a mass edit and check the box where it says beginner then you will have adjusted totals as they start their careers in beginner now some of the fighters here are NOT initially checked cs adjust make sure they are THEN set to beginner

When I start a universe, I make sure all boxers under "ALL" group are "Retired" and already set to Prime [as they were created for the game], and have CS Adj checked. When I want to add fighters I go to "Mass Edit", select a group of boxers one by one and set them to "Active" and "Beginning". Each of these selected boxers now have two sets of ratings: Prime and Beginning. As they advance to Pre-Prime from Beginning they acquire a third set of "Pre-Prime" ratings.
Regional allocation is a separate story.

Partially because I like this snipping tool I have found, I wanted to quickly walk through what happens in my game when I try to set fighters to CS adj and then put them at the beginning stage to start a career.
We start here with CS activated http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1550800797 Because it's a brand new database, I also go here and set CS Adj for all fighters in the database http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1550800954 Then I go to my fighter screen to make sure that CS is checked and yes, it is.. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1550801011 The CS is checked for everybody, so everything looks good. So, I go to the fighter list and select a bunch of guys I want to set to beginning CS and then go to mass edit selected and set CS to beginning. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1550801127 Everything proceeds with no indication of any problems. I go back to the fighters and here they are set to beginning CS... http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1550801220 I'm out of images on this post...see next post Last edited by jas80s; 02-21-2019 at 09:17 PM. |

The unfortunate end
But, sadly, when I go to a fighter at beginning stage, he now has an auto generated beginning stage set of ratings, that for some reason has CS unchecked...If you set a guy to CS beginning, wouldn't the default that makes more sense be CS adj? Anyway, this is the wall I keep hitting...
The advice here has been spot on, but this keeps happening. Just curious if anybody else has seen this? It feels like the only thing to do is go one by one and check the CS adj box...Thanks very much for reading. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1550801577.. OK I see where this is going while the CS adjust is checked if you look further to the right (in fact far right) there is a listing for DEL (DELETE) and a check to the left of that that means if the box is NOT checked you can delete that entry (or auto generated if you do not like it) however if that box IS checked that is the stage where that fighter is at now and typically the cs adjust is NOT checked. confusing? probably but that is the way it is when you set career stages.

![]() In fact, I am completely lost. These fighters are not going to 'age' as the settings stand in this setup, right? Thanks so much for answering, though..much appreciated |

First. Is this fighter "ACTIVE"? He should be if you checked that box during Mass Edit. Below is what one of my boxers looks like. He's in Pre-Prime stage. In all my boxers, only the PRIME rating has CS ADJ checked.

Because, that's how my guys looked, but none of them were advancing from beginning to pre-prime... So, it would seem that the cs adj being unchecked in the ratings screen should not be an issue if the fighters you are using are set to active and cs adj for all fighters has been utilized in the options screen? I will give that a go...yes, I have to say, this possibly could have been designed to be a tad simpler.... ![]() Thanks again for those who have offered to help on this.. |

On the fighter tab, in the bottom right corner, should be some boxes like those pictured below. "Auto-Aging activated" should be checked for any fighters you wish to advance by experience.

to reply to the question YES the fighter will have his career stage move after x number of fights its not checked because that is the stage he is currently in (and thus cannot be deleted unless you move him to another stage but don't) you already have teh stage set so no further action is needed

OK, folks, I have a question. Or two. My version of 2.5 went goodbye a computer ago. I have 2013 on my newer computer. As we know 2013 is pretty much a dumpster fire. I would like to acquire a version of 2.5. My questions these: 1-I have approximately 15,000 fighters in 2013. Will those be able to be downloaded back into 2.5 (like 2.5 was able to be uploaded to 2013). 2-I have Windows-10, how can I get 2.5 to smoothly work on Windows-10. Thanks in advance for any advice.
