New Independent League

Had a couple questions about starting a new independent league that I didn't see answered already.

Is there any negative consequences to forming the league in April after my other leagues are already underway? The new league won't have a draft or spring training, so I don't believe anything would get in the way. Not sure though.

Also, is there a way to set it up using all the same parameters of an existing independent league without bringing in all the real players and teams? I prefer that the new league sign players that already exist in my universe, but don't want to mess with financials, rules, and other settings...except to tweak them here or there.

Atlantic League starts roughly 2-4 weeks after MiLB Opening Day. I wouldn't see why not.
