Playoff Rotations

So, what is everyone's thought process on playoff rotations? Do you adjust at all? Go to a 4 man? To a 3 Man?

4 man. Unless you put a low pitch count on, you can't really do a 3-man. Although, maybe 80% Stamina on your Ace is better than 100% on your #4.

I go to 4 man rotation adjusting which 4 for each round. My active roster has 4 RH starters and 3 LH starters and for playoffs I adjust.

I look at the park factors of my opponent. Then, I look at his lineups. Then, I set my rotation using the 7 day Lineups to maximise for success.

That is, If I am going to be at my computer during the series. Otherwise, I just stick to my 5 man strict order rotation.

I tend to use 4 man and manually reset the order if necessary, at the start of a new series. Say you sweep divisional, i reset back to #1 instead of letting #4 pitch.

Also, if you want, you can usually drop your 5th starter and/or worst RP to the reserve roster and add in another batter.

I do 5 man all regular season then pick a 4-man for playoffs based on the opponent. I look at their lineup, their ball park, their W-L record and how my guys did against them in the regular season if we played. Isn't an exact science but I feel like I've done my due diligence.

Definitely 4 man. If you have a great bat on your reserve roster I'd call him up and take out your worst pitcher. With the planned days off in the playoffs you can have one less pitcher.

I tried going 4-man one season, and put my 5th starter in the pen as emergency starter. He ended up getting used anyway and shelled. Another team, also on 4-man, ended up having a starter go at not quite 100%- something in the 80's during a deciding game in a LCS.

My preference now, is to stay with 5-man rotation and set to Always Start Highest Rested.
