Yeah, that's my one team that I haven't changed the name of. I live 5 miles from the stadium.

I attribute my start a lot to my mini-rebuild after my batters lead the league in both HR and Strikeouts. I dumped several low Avoid K guys (Mickey Mantle, Duke Snider, Jimmie Foxx and Vern Stephens) and replaced them with better Contact+Avoid K's guys (George Brett, Rogers Hornsby, Red Schoendienst, Ted Kluszewski, Garry Maddox). Pretty much reversed the HR and Strikeout rankings over this short period, while now being second in OBP.

A couple of the new guys might be only interim fill-ins while I wait for the 40K+ when Mantle and Foxx finally sell at reasonable prices. Each have gone through 3 auctions with below Last 5 opening prices without a bid.

LOL at all the pitching domination while being last in Ks. It must be a pop-up and groundball fest for your opponents.

You've got to be kidding me with these ratings. That's nearly unhittable. We have a new clear #1 closer in the game.

Yeah, too bad the auction house lists him under "reliever" and not "closer".

That is weird. The card name says CL. But hey, he has a 20 Stamina instead of the typical 17, so you might get a tiny bit more out of him than a standard closer.

Apparently only if someone is going to shell out 700,000!!

Meh, I had a Treinen card go 42-for-42 at Perfect League last week so maybe you don't NEED the peak Rivera, especially at that price.

After a terrible April last season in diamond, my team has started 11-5 in D351. My offense is doing better than normal so things will change soon enough.

Out of curiosity, I checked the career WPct of all the teams in my league and we're the only one with a sub .500 WPct (.485), 629-667. In fact, out of 1180 diamond level teams, only 35 teams have a worse career WPct. Should I feel proud?

You should feel proud.

I think I caught your terrible April this year. I'm hoping we can crawl out of last place. Horrible starting pitching has been the real culprit, but I finally got a good effort yesterday with 7 innings of 2 hit ball. Of course my pen gave up 4 runs in the eighth to move us into last place.

Yup. Just know if you see it on one of those Perfect super-whales that they paid $400+ for that card. Yikes.

So far this season Albert Belle is hitting .169.
14 hits in 83 at bats
8 of the 14 hits have been home runs.

Trenton is 15-9 so far and I hardly changed anything, but sold all my bronze.

Denver Bears are the exact opposite. 13-11 so far and again all the bronze are gone.

Of particular coincidence, my team is the Hillsboro Hops and his is the Everett Aqua Sox, both real teams in the short-season Class A Northwest League.
And I'm the team you played after that, the Beerbarrelers... lol I honestly havent checked my team out since early this morning, so not sure how that series ended up, but Im guessing in your favor as we're not very good.

You took 2 of 3. I went through a 5 game losing streak soon after that stretch I posted. Everett has won 9 in a row and caught up to me, tied for 1st. Even if I can beat them, I still have to hope other teams beat him, too.

Right now I'm getting annoyed because I just took 3 of 4 against one team, but their freaking max HR park destroyed some beautiful ERAs I had going. I was a 28-18 aggregate score right after I swept a 3 game series 11-1. Now I've got 3 games at a max RHB HR/high gap park, so it's going to continue to be crazy scores.

They keep making it harder to move up...last time it was top 4, now it's top 2 to get into Diamond. Holy cow I'll never get there!

Raccoons are in first place … with a 13-11 record… in a division that is somehow already 24 games under .500 …

We had an 8 game losing streak right at the end of April and finished 13-14. Our defense which has been great every season, has been abysmal so far. We're ranked 13th by ZR and 9th by DefEff. The two worst offenders are former glove award winners, Mantle and Aparicio:

Check out last years ZR vs April of this year:
Mantle: 16.2, -1.9
Aparicio: 33.0, -0.3

We're also 13th in pitching in RA after being tops the previous year. I know it's just temporary, but the defense and pitching spoiled our better than normal offensive production.
