Here is why this is especially frustrating: our run differential is significantly better than any team in our division. It's +108, as compared to +78, +72, and +47. But we are ten (10 !!!) games under our Pythagorean record. Our record in1-run games is an incredibly poor 10-25.

Perhaps August will be kinder to us.
Ouch. That is incredibly unlucky....In looking at your logs, 11 of those 17 losses were by one run (and 2 with 2 runs) with errors accounting for 2 close games, your pen leading to 7 close losses (through BS or IRS), and then a couple of great pitching duels where you came out on the unlucky side.

I'm sure things will even out and you'll enjoy a more balanced August! It may be worth keeping an eye on trends for who who in the pen is consistently stranding runners and who is letting them score to help with the one loss records. Or not. At the end of the day, it's really all up the baseball Gods...

I continue to enjoy following Ann Arbor's pitching staff. Already the best staff in our league- a very well performing Pete Alexander was recently relegated to the bullpen in favor of a new Carl Hubbell 97 Card. Very scary staff and bullpen...

Most of the lineup appears to be based around defense which has sacrificed some offensive punch. With a defense based-park, he has an incredible .726 win percentage at home though. I want no part of that pitching, especially on his turf!

It's been a fun week competing with everyone. Best of luck tomorrow to everyone in the play-offs!

You are in the Playoffs right? I had a great season where everything went right and I won 117 games. Hope it continues in the playoffs. That is where you need things to go your way and a little luck helps..😁🤞

I was in the play-offs! I just returned now from a road trip to discover I swept my first round but then loss the pennant to the powerhouse in my league with the elite pitching and defense. Well done Ann Arbor!

I had a feeling that if had to face his team without home field advantage, it would be the end of the season. Something about good pitching beating good hitting ;-) Best of luck in the WS!

The Thunder took everyone by surprise.

We had at least half a dozen teams with better records enter the playoffs but they dominated everyone:

4-1 vs Ann Arbor Space Cadets in Finals
4-1 vs Redmond Coyotes in Semi-Finals
3-0 vs Chicago Slurpes in Division series

Besides Kevin Brown, the entire team was compromised mostly of Live cards.
Congrats....let's see if we get a chance to redeem ourselves next season.
