Thank you so much! I don't know why my game cuts off the numbers but I can only see prices if they are in the two digit thousands.

I think Im gonna hold off rather than overpay by that much on the Ohtani for now. I want him, but not for that much more than what hes been selling for recently.

Just looking at the stats of the 98 Ruth I bought, he is a huge upgrade to what I was using before. I dont think he is 4x better than a Trout or a Betts 25-30K card, but I'm hoping he will still be a standout player and consistently good for me

I got the same thing my 2nd week. (Big money lottery ticket card).


I bought the Perfects that sale for a fraction above their NPC price. Paid under 25k for Betts and Sale, under 30k for Trout.

Filled out my roster with cheap Diamonds the same way (didn't pay over 4500 starting out.

Once my roster was solid with guys I didn't mind losing (because they essentially cost me nothing) I started looking at "final" upgrades.

Bought the 9X Barry Bonds because of the elite defense, to pair with Trout and Betts in the OF. Grabbed Lindor for SS, but will probably move him to 2b at some point. Marcus Giles is a best at 2b and he was way undervalued when I snagged him. Got Pudge at catcher (overpaid, but he's one of my fav's), and I'll probably keep him until I can afford one of the few elite defense diamond/perfect C's. Worked on grabbing lock-down BP and Starters and that are probably 1-2 tiers under "end-game" right now...but they'll do until I get lucky on other big hit.

Still sitting on a decent chunk of the PP, waiting on deals. Grabbed 25 packs the other day and made about 40k off them. Mike Scott, being the best pull I had, but he wasn't an upgrade at SP.

Other people have some great ideas in this thread, but I absolutely would not buy packs expecting an upgrade. I think I have 1, maybe 2 guys that I actually pulled from a pack at this point, everyone else has been bought.

Buy Dwight Gooden back.

Since that is out of the question, buy other affordable perfect players and definitely get the best defensive Catcher you can buy.
