If I keep the team I've tried to win with on the field, I am guaranteed to lose. Maybe I'd make the play-offs as I have been, made it in Bronze too.

But there is no point now, there's a team I've been stuck with twice that can not lose. I need to know I will shake that team, otherwise it's pointless to play the game.

My last team just missed the WC and is repeating Silver, and I really envy the whale-free league they are in - that looks like it will be very fun.

My gold league looks like it's been rigged with $$ and is a waste of time.

Since the late 90s I've used that spelling on UNIX systems, you're not supposed to have usernames with more than 8 characters.

If you try and go 0-162 then you stand a good chance of being banned. It has been specifically stated by the devs in a thread where somebody else was doing exactly that. You could have tried to tank in a subtle way but now that you have announced your intentions here you may be under tighter scrutiny.

It does not matter whether you feel justified in your actions or not. It has been stated to be against the terms of service. End of story.

My two teams are in gold. I would say the odds of them winning the championship is also around 0% and that is without any whales in my league. At least you have an excuse for coming up short.

We are still in the early stages of the promotion/relegation cycle. We are only now beginning week 6 of the mode being live. The devs are undoubtedly looking at how the cycle is working or not working. I expect things to be a least a little more refined in the next version.

Plus next season there will be tournaments which may allow for different ways to enjoy this game mode.

Didn't you make it to the playoffs with at least one team? Didn't you make it to the championship series with at least one team? If so, that would be my definition of success. If not, I guess I mixed you up with another. Not everyone can be the "one" team that wins it all. I'm guessing you gained 1000 PP for making the playoffs and possibly other postseason awards?

I had three teams all in the same silver league. One just missed the WC, they are repeating silver now. In a nice, whale-free league. They were a WC in bronze too.

No one other than the Whales has any chance to win. I can accept fair losses as I had in bronze. I won two WC games there, but lost all three first round series. That experience was a lot more fun for me than what happened in silver.

Every team should have a fair chance to win, no team should be allowed to pre-decide the league because they spent $$. If so our teams are just there as whale-fodder, as something for people to enjoy stomping on for their $$. That's not a game I am interested in playing.

So the best I can do for now is get away from such a team, as the devs don't offer any other method. I'd be very much for a pay-per-month fee to use PT, so long as I can be in a league where you can not use $$ to purchase PP.

Well I used what PP I had to buy replacement players who will play out the season, unmanned. They're not very good, but I already see one won a game. They will probably both lose over 100 games. What's broken is that the replacement players have the same chance of winning a championship in this league as my regular team - 0.000.

I'd rather not earn a single PP and be sent back to silver, to a hopefully whale-free league, to have a fair chance to win. I was robbed this week by horrible balance.

This is the response to what I thought was a reasonable civil post about discussing possible improvements.

That is not trying to be amusing. That is trying to ridicule me and invalidate my points. I never wanted the game gutted and I never wanted everyone to win.

That led to me stating that the bashing seems defensive in nature. If you want me to bash, I have plenty of ammunition. But I have restraint and try to be civil.
