Orcin has Johnny Bench and Frank Robinson in the ASG lineup, I have Kevin Mitchell. Also if DH Robinson get's tried, Mel Ott is there to back him up lol.

The ASG "primary lineup" was completely overhauled by the AI for the actual game. Orcin's Robinson got in late and was the MVP. My Mel Ott went from backup DH to starting 3b and went 0-4. I had a reliever toss a clean inning.

This was the first time I had been online for the all star break. Was pretty cool to see it unfold.

I am still in first place, but I am playing .500 ball. I am looking for some help, but not much I can do now except beef up the bench and the bullpen.

I liked that the AC manager started Scioscia over the perfect Johnny Bench. I was sad when Scioscia seemd to stop performing for me so I got rid of him, maybe its time to give him another try!

I'm just going to enjoy this snapshot in time.
You are making quite a run today. I have to win every game just to hold my slim lead. Great race!

I'm stunned at this run—but in the best way. You guys keep getting it done, but I'm glad I can keep things close! 13-2 so far today. My pitching has been quite the pleasant surprise this season.

As if my luck couldn't get any better today, I also pulled a 96 overall Alan Trammell from a Challenge Mode pack. It's almost certainly in my best interests to sell him, but I don't think I can bear to do it.

Now that I've talked up my luck, I've invited in the inevitable downturn

That downturn hasn't happened yet. As of this post, you are 19-4 in August. I see you are easing Trammell into the lineup in a platoon role. He's not doing too well. I think you should sell him.

2 games back. Just September left. Good luck the rest of the way! Never thought in a million years that the Wonder Squares would be here at this point in the season.

It promises to be quite a race to the finish in the NC West today. I just got swept by Sheffield, but fortunately for me Gold Saucer stumbled a bit too.

The other division leaders have some cushion but the AC WC is up for grabs.

I am up to a 5 game lead now. Final three games of the season with Gold Saucer are coming up, and I will have a commanding lead if I can take 2 of 3. I have demoted bullpen guys to the reserve roster so much that I don't have any more eligible pitchers, so I hope these bums can figure out how to close a game.

The Wonder Squares absolutely fell apart today. 4-18 so far. We may not make the playoffs at all. Here's hoping we can salvage the wild card. Orcin has officially clinched the division.

Yep, setting up my playoff rotation now. I will get the 3 seed so no home field advantage.

Thanks, Orcin. You've got a formidable team. Give 'em hell today

We overperformed most of the season, and while in a sense our overall record wasn't surprising, it sure was a painful regression to the mean.
