Looks like I'll probably be making the wild card. Not ideal, and I am not really sure how the team above me is doing so well...

On the plus side, if I win the wide card game, then I'm in a short series with Koronin, which is probably the best shot I have to win the playoffs. I lost to him in 6 games in the last world series. That team is unbelievable.

Not looking good for me, two games back with 6 to go. But...I pulled a perfect Ty Cobb that I sold for 480k. I bought a Campanella and a Randy Johnson, and pulled a DeGrom, Sales, Eckersley (all 100's), Barry Bonds, Acuna future, Johan Santana and a few other diamonds that I already had. Might actually have a fighting chance next season

Wow! If you dont mind me asking how many packs had you opened before the Ty cobb? I've opned more then 200 and I feel terribly unlucky. my 100 I had to get off Auction which i really did not want to do.. I really want to get my team from packs.

I would say in the 150 range. I contemplated keeping it but for over 400k it didn't make sense. And the haul I got from that 400k completely changed my team. Funny thing is, I've spent probably $125 on this team, but have another team that I did not spend a dime on and it's my only WS win (bronze).

Wow! Grats on the lucky draw. Yeah I've spent prob $300 total and I kinda regret it because of my bad luck but oh well its still fun. I also have a F2P team and they area doing really well in gold. They have always made the playoffs but never any farther then the first round do to the whale's in the league but I am really impressed they are always competitive. Every gold on that team is from packs but I don't even use all the gold's because the silver cards are doing better along with some bronze. I've learned from this team that OVR is really not the best all the time.

I always do normal packs. I just feel robbed spending 5k for 1 gold when I can and usually do get a gold or two (or more sometimes) within 5 normal packs.

If you are trying to pull diamond and perfects, buy only the 1k packs. The odds are the same for both 1k packs and 5k packs.

Yup. Gold packs are a waste of Perfect Points. In Beta I pulled a Ted Williams perfect card out of the starter packs.. I've not seen a 100 in packs since.... sad. I want Ted back.. he is a monster.

Always 1k...and since my previous post I pulled a perfect Greg Maddux. And another Sale, which I sold for 20k. Very lucky streak lately, but until the Cobb I was not lucky at all.

Man, Minneapolis Miracles almost took out Koronin's Cowboys in the series. Went up 3-2 before dropping the last couple. Not bad for a 89-73 team against that beast.

Yeah your team went on a tear the last month of the season and stayed hot through the playoffs. I was in first place (High River) and you sniped me in the last couple weeks and knocked me out of first. Congrats!! We've been plagued with Kronin's Cowboys and I am glad to see that its not all about OVR.

I have him again in the P league but he is a small fish there... I'm just a microbe, but a competitive one.. hehe.
