Game Attendance

I have a question over something that may or may not have and affect on the games played. My 1st season all teams had FAN INTEREST of in the 70's & 80's. My team made the Wild Card game & lost but many other teams didn't & some even lost over 100 games.

My question is why did my team start at "9" FAN INTEREST (still "9") while all other teams started back in the 70's to 80's. I'm getting like 9,000 people in attendance at home while on the road the other teams in the 30,000. I did nothing I know of for my attendance to fall to "9" FAN INTEREST to begin the season while every other team in my league stayed in 70's & 80's and continue to remain there.

Is this a concern or is it just for cosmetic purposes in the game?
Help from somebody that really knows would be helpful not just an observation/opinion would be greatly appreciated.

It's just cosmetic. There's no financials in the game, so attendance doesn't really matter.
