The four game lead I once had is gone. My starting pitchers are weak and my bullpen has a pair of questionable members.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure who I can even purchase to temporarily improve my starting rotation.

I was in first, now I'm almost 4 games out because all my hitters are exhausted all the time even though I'm resting them. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I doing something wrong somehow? Is there a better thread for me to write this in?
Maybe the bug forum if you truly believe it is a bug or glitch in the system.

You do have substitution rules in place and players listed as backups for all positions I assume?

34-32 for the Healy Hoggs as we put up a 13-15 May and are 6-7 so far in June. Still only 1 1/2 games back in the wildcard, though. Offense is the issue at the moment. Added these cheapies last night but perhaps they upset the balance a bit. Or maybe I just need to give them more time to settle in.

Pulled my first gold position player this morning: Mitch Haniger (83 OVR). He doesn't look all that much better than Curtis Pride, tbh.

EDIT: 34-33 as I lose the first game in a new series against the division whales...

At first I thought you were joking and sending him to the flu forum.

Yes. Now they've gone to yellow alert with only Judge on red, so I guess they needed a full week of rest. I sold Ohtani who was hitting .190 and pitching over 5 ERA and sold Minter who had a snow flake next to his name all season so far. I got Ken Giles for the bullpen and Adam Eaton for the outfield. Eaton is underrated as a silver-- amazing outfielder, can do everything but hit homers. Now I've got him and Willie Wilson, similar guys. I need versatility so I can add back a long reliever soon. Thanks for your advice.

The upside to having lost 5 straight? I know I'll get some PP when I finally jag a win

10-5 in June so far. Got a 400 point silver achievement and a bunch of smaller ones so my points are building back to the point that I may be able to look at RP help.

I still feel like my team is under performing. Of course I also have a 61 overall batter who is 4th in the batting race with a .346 avg. One point behind Perfect Mookie. So I guess it balances out.

Cheers, they're certainly performing. If only my starters could show any level of competence. Wheeler's passable but if I exclude his numbers the rest of the rotation has a 5.84 ERA and opposition batting averages of .287,.297,.309, and .314. There just aren't really any other Mets SP I can afford, especially if my team spends May30-June 20 not earning any PP.

Hi! Finally, a team from my league! My team is the Chesapeake Clippers. Your team just took 2 of 3 from my team. It looks like your team has a good chance of at least making the playoffs, while mine...

I'm earning PP really slowly so the only upgrade coming soon will be someone in the bullpen. So my team will no doubt remain at the bronze level for a while. But it's been fun so far.

I wish we could trade. My starters have been good but every gold pitcher I threw in the bullpen stunk. I'm trying silver and maybe bronze and under soon, I'm getting desperate.

My team started strong, but I knew that wouldn't last. I did learn something about ratings that I didn't know before playing PT (I play stats only in my solo leagues). I found out that ground ball pitchers tend to give up more hits than similarly rated flyball pitchers [from the manual] so I dumped my poorly performing extreme groundball pitcher in favor of a similarly rated extreme flyball pitcher and the results so far are encouraging.

Here are the standings for my team along with ratings and some stats:

Have gone 17-8 over the last 25 games and now sit one game behind the division leader with a 43-29 record. In the lead for the wildcard by 2.

That's interesting about the ground ball vs flyball. I'm in a tiny ballpark though, so there's that. I never paid attention to that before in this game.
