The 3rd place team is mostly all golds. I really like the second place team too... it's:

Damn, a rotation that forces Kluber/Carrasco/Nola to the bullpen? Ouch

This team doesn't have as good a record as that purple team, however, he's only second in runs, so he has a little room to improve.

My 2cents on 'whales' (long)
First I will start off by saying I guess I am a whale, I dropped 50 on my main name - I call it a donation. Waiting on 20
Even though PT is 'Out of beta' it's really not, well that's how I look(ed) at it. The 'Beta' was the alpha - we're now in the beta and 20 is the official release. And I knew that and still invested my time and money - my playtime went from 1100 to 1600 since PT....most of that is because I fall asleep with the game running but that's because I play it until I'm forced by the other half to go to bed or my body just says NO. Some people pay $60 for a game you only have 20-80 hours in and you're done. Some people don't understand that if it wasn't for 'whales' the game/feature would not be FTP. You Think Clash or Fortnite or ANY FTP game could stay FTP if whales did not buy every skin? Or rush their Townhall from 4 to 9 in a week and wonder why they still suck? In the MLB clearly the Yanks are the whales, someone like the A's would be FTP. Yes the A's have to do a lot more managing alot more luck to make it to the series. But is it possible? Yes. Do the Yanks or Dodgers or BoSox win it EVERY year? No. What's the difference? And you expect the staff of OOTP to run two servers one CC friendly and one not. Why? Only one pays for itself, times 100 I'm sure - you expect the one to pay for both? |

A guy in my league is proving that diamonds are not everything if not the right diamonds. Five of Nine starters are diamonds, and yet he is 11th in runs scored and 28th in average.

No need to be jealous. He has an end game team before the first season has even started. I am not sure how they will maintain interest when there is nothing left to upgrade

You spent $50? You are not a whale. I agree with your post though.

ok so the top team in my league is called the Gotham Dark Knights, so its a different team, but possibly the same player?
72-17 is his current record, so he isn't managing that team as well

I don't see why people are getting worked up over this.
You can't control other people's lives.... they can do what they want. It's no big deal. |

I must have missed the details, but all these people spending hundreds of dollars on pt, or looking to exploit the system there must be a nice prize for winning the perfect league level right? Like $5000 or even $10000?
Maybe I should take it more seriously.

why would anyone have to tank anything. If you want to win bad enough just buy the points.

Can't believe no reward?
I just beat a stacked team 6-0 and no reward?
This should get something?

That team had to costs at least $100 in coins or more. I doubt if that lineup was shut out all season. .I can't believe how stack the team is. They seem better than an All star team. They are most 90+ rated players. Shut them out, beat them. Nothing. No coins. Pound a mediocre team - here is your reward?
I won't have a better game for the rest of PT. Just funny how a reward system works.
