In-game Sound

I've had about enough of the sounds that play when you're opening packs. Can I disable that? I have "in-game sound" disabled in the main OOTP settings but it doesn't seem to have an effect on PT.

I know you can stop the opening pack graphic, but not sure about the crisp beautiful opening sound. I hope they spent hours and thousands of dollars to get that sound "just" right. Now if they could just get us a new card smell...

And Vintage Packs that come with an incredibly stale stick of gum.

Why not simply turn down the volume?

You could also delete the sound files I guess. \my documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\sounds\pt_sounds

That only works if you're not doing something else on your computer that requires sound. I'm watching a live stream lecture at the moment, for example while opening a bunch of packs bought with the proceeds from a perfect card sale. I've found out that the sound goes away if you make something other than OOTP the active window.

Man, I loved when the new season of packs of Topps cards would come out in stores. I would celebrate by opening my first wax pack and popping the gum right into my mouth to chew while I looked through my first cards of the year.

And just hope that the card next to the stick of gum was a 40 OVR worth 2 cents and not a Don Mattingly rookie.

Ha!

Anyone who opened a lot of wax packs in the 80s can tell you the worst place to have a good star or rookie card was on the bottom, the opposite of the gum, because the glue used to seal the pack would leave residue on the back of the bottom card. Hated that.

Cello packs were so much better, no glue and you could see the top card(s)!
