Defensive Rating Progression

I heard if you develop a guy at a position during the entry pool his defensive rating will reset when league play starts. Is this true? Will change my strategy if this is the case

They will develop skills for the new position.

I did not know it's limited to the entry pool though. That doesn't sound right to me, frankly.

They said it will reset back to original at the end of entry pool, but after that it will keep progression once the first season starts.

They also said that the player will keep it if he goes on the AH and is sold

interesting. There are so many layers to this game. Now going to leave JD Martinez at first base for the entire entry pool and see how far he can develop. Also try and see if another player can have 8 positions on his resume.
