Ugh, 3-5 in June and have now fell 3.5 games behind the white-hot Louisville Colonels. You've got quite a team there Orcin!

Happy Thanksgiving! I decided to open a pack first thing this morning in honor of the holiday and lo and behold... a perfect Chris Sale. I got one a week ago and decided to sell it in order to buy more packs and shop at the AH for multiple upgrades. Since then, I have mostly been sitting on points looking for something to buy that would truly be an upgrade. This time, I am just putting Sale at the top of my rotation for the playoff run.

Not often a team will be 56-25 (.691 winning %) and be 6.5 games out of first! I guess I'll have to live for now with the first wild card.
Only thing I can hope for is that Mays gets unbelievably hot and carries this team. But a slash line of .270/.362/.524 is not exactly disappointing...

I am more than a little surprised that Andrew Benintendi and Lorenzo Cain will be starters on the all-star team. I really didn't see that coming. I just have my fingers crossed that the magical run continues.
I have mixed emotions about the beta ending. I am really happy with this team and would enjoy seeing how far it could go. I also really look forward to building another one, but I will miss this group of players and the rivalry that we have. |

At the same time, I have a losing month (12-13). Ugh.
Well, 8 back. We'll see how the rest of the season goes. I caught fire in September last year so it may happen again! |

Hey all, my top team is in here too. Although maybe I should have kept the auto-pilot on, since I'm only 6-8 since the AS break with Jeff right on my heels. Pedro+Schilling are a combined 1-4 since I bought them, and Murphy hasn't looked great at 1B. Could be some fun races down the road as teams jockey for position.

Is it just me, or do players often go into a slump immediately after they are acquired mid-season? Not always, but more often than not, I will stick a new player in and he does worse than the player he replaced, even though the new player has better ratings. I have seen this often enough that I think I will be making fewer in-season roster moves after the reset, and more shuffling on Sunday night and Monday morning.

I’ve seen this as well. Seems like they need to start with the team to be decent.

My new Russ Martin has hit .385 with a 1.315 OPS in his first 8 games for me. Of course, my Harper has hit on .206. So I think it's just confirmation bias at play, here. Of course, my Pedro+Schilling are only 2-5 combined, so I'm definitely waiting for them to catch fire.

Matt, can you confirm that player morale is off in PT? I know it is supposed to be, but...

On the other hand, it seems that no matter who I put in the #3 slot in the batting order, they always underperform. Perhaps the AI knows this is where most teams have their mashers and pitches around them? |

I am sure that this is just coincidence with me. Sometimes though, gut feel is all we managers have to go on. If I put all of my best players out there, they are supposed to win, right?

This has been a brutal month. Hard to compete when Bobble's gone 17-1 for the month. Guess it's time to start thinking about our likely Wild Card matchup against the Vixens.
