Ny Omikron (AA) 2021 Trash Talk Thread

Welcome to AA, mates! Most of us Kappa Phi grads are here (sorry Paul). Ryan and I get to butt heads in the same division again. NYY23 and Bobble are together in another division. The rest are spread around with some people that I don't know yet.

I'm here as well!

Looks like the divisions are more balanced this year, which is great!

Well, I'm glad I got some breathing room away from Orcin, Ryan W., Lukas, and JeffR, I'm pretty scared of sadisticpotato's squad. I'm also super envious of his 'Gar card...

Goal for this season is figuring out how to eke a biiiit more offense out of my team without sacrificing that nice, cavernous, "power hitters' hell"-type ambiance that my players and fans have grown so fond of

Good luck everyone!!

Has anyone seen 7 HOT batters before? This was insane to me!

I guess that is why I have won 5 in a row outscoring opponents 66(!)-16. This is pretty fun right now.

I've only have two hot batters right now, but Mattingly is really hot (24-33, 4 HR, 15 RBI). I'm only on a 9 game win streak compared to your 10, but it's definitely fun right now.

I have won 14 of my last 19, including 2 out of 3 against Ryan, and I still lost ground in the standings!

I played some easier teams over the last week or so to start this 11 game winning streak, but now matched up against those perky Portland Pines. Took Game 1 but we'll see about game 2. Snell vs Drysdale!

...Perky?

You all must miss playing in my hellhole of a stadium as often as last season, it's such a shame you can only visit once in a while now

I am welcoming el_gringo to my completely neutral and symmetrical park this morning. Welcome to what the locals call "The Bland".

We were 24-4 in May as the pitching got hot. We are riding a 13-game winning streak, so I would appreciate it if the Pines did not screw that up so I can see if there is an achievement at 15. Thank you.

Edit: just noticed the Pines have won 9 in a row. The AA level is still full of haves and have-nots. We will have a bunch of 100-win teams in the playoffs.

May was a fun month. We went 22-5 with Donnie Baseball Batter of the Month (.423, 7 HR, 30 RBI). It's funny how things shook out this year after last. It feels much better to not have everyone crammed in two divisions.

I meant too PESKY...

Usually after a 22-6 month, you have a sizable lead in the division. Or, in my case, Orcin closed the gap on me! Only 0.5 game lead and Orcin played one less game than me.
