New season + OOTP 19 update (including many new PT features) live!

Hey folks,

we have just released the latest OOTP 19 update (version 19.9.117), which adds many new features to Perfect Team and introduces the option to purchase Perfect Points in the eSellerate webstore version of the game.

Here is the changelist:
- Perfect Team: Completed implementation of PT Universe screen (Main Menu)
- Perfect Team: Added PT Community screen (Main Menu)
- Perfect Team: Added a notification when the simulation is complete (can be disabled in PT home screen, profile & settings tab)
- Perfect Team: Added new achievements for snapping a losing streak and for scoring an upset win (when your team is < .450 and beats a team > .550 by 10 runs or more)
- Perfect Team: Added a ballpark info tab to the team screens
- Perfect Team: Added manager profiles (click on profile button on the title area of the team screen)
- Perfect Team: Added transactions history in Market screen
- Perfect Team: Added past auction stats (avg. winning bid etc) when putting a card up for auction (displayed in auction dialog)
- Perfect Team: Added option to purchase Perfect Points in the eSellerate webstore version (Origin and AppStore will follow soon)
- Fixed several PT-related bugs

Further, we have tweaked some achievement payouts (lowered some, increased others) and the odds for silver cards in packs, making them a bit more rare.

Also, we are starting the new season today (11 AM ET). Please keep an eye on the transition, like rosters, stats, awards etc. Manager achievements do not carry over, but they can be seen in the new transaction history (Market menu).

Next week the open beta will likely end. Currently the official Perfect Team launch is scheduled for November 28. The full reset will happen a day earlier, and when we're back online on November 28, you all will be back in the Entry Pool with a brand new team. The only thing not affected by the reset will be your login and the Perfect Points you purchased, as explained before several time

Will the ability to earn card packs for standard OOTP play be implemented at the end of beta?

This is my first OOTP game and I'm kinda waiting to play the actual thing till I know I won't bork my progress by getting the packs when they're just gonna get wiped, and I'm still really unclear on if they'll be repeatable in general.

Will there be an option to auto-download the sims? I think that'd be a great addition.

Is the Universe page supposed to link to other leagues where I can see them or simply be a list of all leagues?

Later you will be able to click on other leagues to see standings & basic league leaders, but not yet.

How are team's going to designated to a league after the Entry Pool season is complete following the Reset and Launch on November 28th?

- From what I can tell with the Beta the league you are placed into is equivalent to your team's overall rating. A welcomed way to avoid match-ups between all Legend teams and all Bronze teams.

Will more cards be added to the available pool of players (more common, bronze, silver, gold, diamond, and legend)?
- Absolutely love seeing Pete Rose, 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson, and others in the game. You have an vast supply of card possibilities.

How will users be able to earn packs or spending resources playing the game outside of the Perfect Team simulation?

What are the limitations to adjusting the park factor coefficients (+/-0.2)?

Will we be able to trade with other users as opposed to the Auction?

Edit- my bad, however I may have found a bug.

I made Josh Donaldson a 1B and it does not show the same card as a 3B to be a duplicate. I'm not sure if I could buy another one and play him as a 3B because of this.

No, it should work fine. The code checks the card ID, this has nothing to do with the position. In my tests card titles that I own are displayed as read in the AH lists.

1) The leagues are random, not based on quality.
2) More cards will be added in OOTP 20, yes.
3) When playing Challenge Mode leagues in OOTP you will occasionally be rewarded with a PT card pack when unlocking an achievement.
4) Limitations are indeed 0.2 for AVG & HR and 0.5 for 2B and 3B.
5) No, trading would open the door to cheaters, this will not be implemented in the future.

If I leave my perfect points the way they are, will it still be there for the official release. I'm not going to buy any perfect points, i'm just leaving my current ones.

No, only bought points will carry over.
