Could someone tell me what the gold coin means beside the player
when your playing out the games...thank you in advance

It looks like it but it's not actually a coin. It's a gold glove as pstrickert said.

If you hover your mouse over the award icon, (or other icons), a description of the icon will appear. If they won it more than once, depending on your settings, a number will appear below it. Hover your mouse over the number and it will display the years won.
