72-71, above .500 for the first time all season, and 4.5 games out of the Wildcard. I can do this!

...and then that reinforced lineup with four Gold and three Silver cards goes out and is promptly wrapped up in a 2-hit shutout by 1963 Colt .45 starter Hal Brown, who is rated a mighty 63!
Back to the old drawing board! NO. ![]()

![]() My team is really hoping they get to keep their new defensive ratings next season, so they don't have to spent the first two months losing due to errors again in order to re-learn them ![]() |

Trenton is hanging in there with us. We all 3 have a roughly 65% chance of making the playoffs, but only 2 of us will. It has really been fun. Good luck! |

I'm torn. It is taking me so long to earn points (my team is really awful at it) that spending 1,000 on a pack makes me nervous. But I don't see many obvious upgrades on the market that I can afford either.
Decisions are hard. |

Depends on how bad your situation really is. Decent silvers sell for around 200 by now...

No money spent. Roster isn't that amazing overall ratings wise, but getting some steals off the Auction House have helped my team a ton.
Best record in my league somehow, despite starting 27-26. Porcello threw a no hitter and Matt Barnes an immaculate inning, which got me a ton of points. I turned those points into packs that I got absolutely nothing of value from. Haha

Happy to get a new relief arm but we will see how he does next season and whether he was worth the 1,000 PP |

looking at the other divisions on my league
3 divisions are extremely competitive, with 3 teams each division within 4.5 games of the lead. one of these divisions will almost certainly have a division winner with a losing record, but it could be any of 3 teams 2 divisions are decided already and the last division has only 2 teams with a chance but its a 1.5 game lead. 4 of the 5 teams have a winning record in that division Last edited by Whoofe; 11-10-2018 at 03:42 PM. |

While organizing my lineup with care and using a "Modern Tactician" strategy, my team was horrendous, almost 30 games under .500.
Now, with my team simply trying to avoid the basement, I set my strategy to "Unorthodox (Random)" and allowed the computer to determine my lineup...and we are 11-1 so far in September. |

Still on a major downswing as we approach the end. At this point I am hoping to just stay above .500

All year I've really abandoned defense and just tried to slug my way to the playoffs. A 4-16 stretch really ate into my wild card cushion. After sending two of my four best players overall I've rolled off 6 straight wins. Sometimes the better players Kris Bryant (-0.3 WAR) don't always perform, but have to ride the hot bat, Mark DeRosa (2.4 WAR).
Should be fun watching to see how the wild card races play out. |
