todays new 19.9.111 update from 19.9.104

Is this a final update version to use for the regular ootp19 game (not PT part), or is it a beta for PT ?

When i click in game on the help section of my game, it states i have the current version and my game is up to date (19.8.79)

I am not looking to play PT, so that is why i am asking if this update (19.9.111) is just for the PT part of the game as a beta, or is also a non beta update for the regular game and i should install it.

thanks

19.9.111 is a regular official update, it has many improvements other than PT.

I don't understand this post. I don't think there's ever been a version of this game that comes out 100% perfect and 100% complete. Every version that comes out is very good, but it's never going to be perfect. There will always be bugs to fix, and Markus and co respond to them and get updates out very quickly. If you're looking for perfection, I'm not sure what to say. From what I've heard, other game developers have games that are more buggy, and they are less responsive to those bugs, but YMMV.

It’s really not that hard. As a commissioner, don’t update. Import all the old version, update your game, then import the new ones. No delay needed

bad system. try this: Postpone any update to the "next" downtime. everyone in league should know not to update until the "monday" after the sim date or however you have it setup etc... everyone is on same page and it won't interrupt a "sim-day" for your league.

so if you sim on Friday all the time, tell people that they cannot update until the following day -- ever. same with the day leading into it, if you want a bit of room. pick a day and say this is the only day we update per week or per incremental time that we sim.

It would be really helpful if you could NOT make the patches mandatory for online leagues to continue to operate. Not everyone patches immediately and it causes the entire league to either patch or not patch.

That covers one sim. What about the next when some still haven't updated?

I believe Steam forces an update, so this won't work for your steam members.

If any GM in each particualr online league uses Steam this isn't an option, Steam auto updates as best I know (I don't use Steam except for Beta testing). You can prevent this auto update by going to steam and setting yourself offline before opening OOTP. The problem with that is some other games require you to be online so you can't have it both ways to avoid an OOTP auto update.

So while I understand these updates are necessary they do potentially cause some issues with online leagues and their ability to sim.

It gets especially tricky since many GMs are in multiple leagues run by different commissioners and different update schedules.

There isn't a simple answer to this issue but I just ask that it not be ignored/minimized and to note that these aren't minor issues for online leagues.

it's perfectly reasonable to ask people to update before the sim

What if my other league isn't updating right now. I'm screwed one way or another, when all OOTP has to do is somehow make it where patching doesn't matter to online league file exports working. Its a small thing to ask from a game with a large online league aspect.

I completely agree with these online league/updating posts. There needs to be a way to fix this. Having to download an update every few days because of Perfect Team, a mode I'll never even look at when all I want to do is play in my online leagues is a bit much.
