The Upcoming Wipeout

So I'm reading when this beta is over in a few weeks, all of the cards get reset to 0 and we mainly start from the beginning again.

But what's the story with pp? It seems like at the very least, this platform has the capability of retaining them. Will anything at all carry over to the live version other than pp that is bought with real cash?

I'm asking mainly because I've played enough to know I'll like it and to get some basic strategy worked out, but if we're losing everything soon it would seem best for me to jump out of the game now and wait for the live version.

Since this was released so late in the OOTP19 lifecycle, it seems that at least something should carry over from the beta. After all, the beta period will occupy about 1/3rd of the total time remaining before OOTP20 comes out.

They have stated that earned perfect points will not carry over on the reset.
Perfect point purchased with real money will carry over.
I believe nothing else carries over.

Everyone will start the released version with 6 starter packs, 1000 PP, and whatever PP they may have purchased from the store.

No reason to stop playing the beta just because it will end. The released game will end someday too. So will the OOTP20 version.

keep playing the beta, if for no other reason than to find and report bugs

I've seen some ppl post some real stinkers of bugs that have been or in the process of being fixed

this is a good time to get those found

I'm using the Beta period to experiment. What kinds of players seem to work best? Should I use 7 Day Lineups, and if so, how rigidly should I adhere to them (since more than 7 days will be simmed while I sit at work)? Is it more worth buying packs or hand-picking players from the market? How much impact is individual player strategy going to have? Should I shell out more for pitching or hitting? Which players are going to be worth targeting once the games count?

The Beta's an excellent time to play around with things, because if I screw up, spend a whole bunch of PP, or go 2-12 one day, it's not going to hurt me. So each day I've been trying something new.

...Plus, it's fun, even if I'm going to be upset to lose a few of my players once the Beta ends. The good news is I'll know which Bronze/Iron cards are worth grabbing early on.

same. I found I overpaid for a few players early on, and have decided I may be less likely to use the auction as much when things are for reals. I will have to pick and choose the one or two players I really want from the auction instead of trying to buy a whole team

a few of my other strategies have been mixed results. i'll probly look in another direction during the next week and see if that works out any better

But a good reason for me to remain hopeful since I was dealt terrible, terrible cards.

It would be nice if there were some bonus that carried over for players that make the playoffs, win the league title, win an MVP, etc. in the beta league. Maybe it's PP, or just a trinket like a badge or something. Maybe they introduce a deck of "World Series MVP" player cards and each league champion from the beta gets a free, random card from that deck. Lots of options.
