All Star Balloting
I'm a little biased, but I'm surprised my league leading closer for saves is not an option on the ballot.
Edit: Is it a case of the same player can't show up from different teams or conferences? There was the same player for a team in the other conference options for relief pitchers. Last edited by vyshka; 11-06-2018 at 09:30 PM. |

There is some weird selections going on.
I have three relief pitchers from my team included. My closer, who is killing it and deserves to be there (12 saves and a 1.04 era) But then it also chose my two worst relievers, the two who I have marked as use less often. Dillon Maples with a 6.35 ERA Gregory Infante with a 4.50 ERA Pitchers passed over in favor of those two Pat Neshek - 1.23 ERA Kelvin Herrera - 1.17 ERA Joe Smith - 3.68 ERA Joe Kelly with a 3.48 ERA The only thing that Maples and Infante have over them is Strikeouts per 9 |

Yeah, I had some of my middle relievers listed, but neither my star setup (Pedro Baez) or my star closer (Keone Kela) were listed. Which is a bummer as it will likely cost me a spot. Glavine is only 4th in voting right now for the SP list, and Buchholz is 3rd. MY RF is listed as 3rd in the voting at the moment. So most likely I just get 1 pitcher in if that.
I wonder if it is being based on ERA+ both of my guys that did get listed in the relief pitchers have pretty good ERA+ ratings, but Kela is still higher than 1 of them. Would be interesting to hear how it works. It is fun to watch unfold though. Last edited by vyshka; 11-06-2018 at 10:39 PM. |

I'm pretty sure Markus has said that PP will be awarded for players making the All-Star game. Players are also being awarded PP for being batter or pitcher of the month.

Edit: Yes, you should have gotten PP for that. I saw elsewhere that people did get PP properly for monthly awards. Maybe it was a different Cespedes that won? Edit2: Definitely works correctly, I got 150 PP on May 1st as my Hank Aaron won Batter of the Month.

I didn't get an email due to having 'general league news' unchecked. However I found it in League News. It was around the 24th/25th of May or so.

I've replaced so many players on my team that no one will likely make the AS team.

Before you guys get too excited, the current All-Star ballot doesn't actually do anything
![]() Markus will implement things next week so that it does though and the All-Star voting works.

I probably will have none, even though I think my closer deserves it. I have probably had a core of about 6 or 7 guys who have been in the lineup all season so far but my team is under-performing offensively. Since Perfect Points are attached to those selections I am sure there will be more than a few threads, after the all star rosters are announced, where players will be saying "How did player A make the all star team over my player B?" |

If there will be PP awarded for all star selections, what's to stop people from just voting for their own players even if they aren't the best choice?

It isn't just our voting that counts. There is some algorithm that is determining fan votes as well and that should weight it to some extent towards deserving players I imagine.

Had 6 players named to the team, including the player mentioned in the original post even though he never showed up in the balloting.
