Changing affiliations?

If I add the Fort Worth Wings(non-expansion) to the AHL and change the Red Wings affiliation to Fort Worth then what happens to the players on the previous affiliated team(Grand Rapids)?

It becomes independent no parent club

Not knowing the outcome, I would expect it would follow the same result OOTP does: the players don't follow over, you have to move them individually (or move them down to the ECHL).
