is this a waste of time??

I am really interested in the idea of using a salary cap. Seems the best way to do this is via an innaug draft, so all teams are on the same footing. but, when I draft them, i feel like i get an advantage. So, i'm going to do an innaug draft with a capped salary, sim 3 years, decide who the worst team is and go back and play as them.

Am I wasting my time? Can the AI "handle" a cap? If I set it up w/ a cap before a draft, is the AI smart enough to understand that when drafting?

I would draft, then set the contracts/market size/financials according to the results of the draft, then set your cap and tweak it each year until you have it where you want it.
