Heartbreaking Loss

After chasing our division rival all season, we tied for best record in the division and league. Had to play tie-breaker game against the best offensive team in the league at their park. Back and forth game, but we had a 1-run lead going into the 9th. Opposing team hit 2-run walk-off homer with 2 outs in bottom of 9th to win 6-5. In 18 years of playing OOTP, playing out all of my games, this is in the top 3 of worst losses of all time for me. But this is also what makes this game so great. I find myself wondering how my fictional players will get themselves mentally prepared for the wildcard game after such an emotional loss. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. You can't write it better than this.

On to the wildcard....

I've had those losses too and some wins like that. Exhilarating and gut wrenching.
