importinf from OOTP17 toOOTP19

I want to move a current league I have from OOTP 17 to 19. (I know, I know, why wait so late in the year?) I realize I have to import into OOTP 18 first. All I need to do is download the OOTP 18 demo first and import into that, right? Then I would import from the demo into the current purchased OOTP 19. Is all that correct? Anything else of which I should be aware?

That will do it.
I would check the import to OOTP 18 for integrity then repeat the check once oyu import to 19. Check manager histories, team histories, player stats, player histories, HoF, career league leaders, etc.

I have had some very odd results when importing from one version to another. I recommend spending 5-10 minutes making sure there are no problems before when importing.

Thanks for the response. However, I am running into some difficulty downloading the OOTP18 demo from the website. The file is called ootp18demosetup.1389511534 My computer doesn't have a clue how to open or run that file. What am I doing wrong?

I have had the problem you are having, I cannot remember the fix. I think delete and redownload was the fix.

I am downloading from here:

I am selecting the OOTP18 Demo and the file name is:
ootp18demosetup.exe

Are we downloading from the same place?

Update: I changed the file name to .exe and double-clicked. That seemed to do the trick. Not quite sure why the file name was different....
