Relationship with manager

Anyone know what influences a player's relationship with the manager? Like how does the game determine who will have a good relationship and who will have a bad one?

Is it similar personalities?

I know that favor hitters over pitchers will influence the hitters to good and pitchers to bad (and vice versa). I suspect that prospects vs. veterans etc. might have similar effects.
