A comparison of what it looked like before the recent patches and after ... I have not changed anything in between.

So graphic-wise we're back to OOTP18?

Go to the settings dialog (file menu) and set the semi-transparent background option to enabled. I do not know why it got changed for you, maybe some corruption in the config file.

Man thank you so much for this last patch. My video card is old and outdated, so I was under the impression that I was crap out of luck. This latest patch changed all that. I no longer have delays. The game ends and my boxscore is there in the blink of an eye. You don't know how close I came to deleting the game when I was told it was my video card/system.

Strange, it is enabled, two of my four leagues work perfectly (left) and the other two don't (right)

Is there any way to change this?

Also, for some strange reason, in the two leagues that don't work perfectly the manager's image is shown while in the other two the team logo is shown

UPDATE: Even though semi-transparent background is enabled this it doesn't work on all pages.

That wasn't the case before the patches.

Ah, I see what may be going on here. Do you have custom background images enabled for this league / the teams in it?

You can check this for the league here: League setup -> "League & Teams" -> on the right side, there is "Background picture". Check which file that is, and delete this file from your hard drive, or rename it.

For teams it is in the Team Settings (Team Menu at the top), the option is on the left of the screen.

Renaming or deleting the file does the job, but when I start the game the next time the game again creates the grey default-backgrounds.

The two leagues that work perfectly show on the team page under "Backgrund Picture": 'none' - the two that don't work show "default". Is there any way to select "none" in the settings?

I'm having the same issue. However, selecting the '_readme.txt ' file for the league and teams gets rid of the gray background for me. But something is wonky, that's for sure.

I had to go reset the league and my teams to the background.jpg file in /data. Also, it didn't seem to stick the first time...ended up exiting the game, restarting it, and it "reloaded" the game files as if it were a new install or update and now it looks correct.

OK, here's the deal... looks like some old league files have paths set to the default.png file in "\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\backgrounds". Now, the display of those files has been broken up until the latest patch (talk about an unintended bugfix)... the problem is, the files in those folders are blank grey images. So, I suggest deleting those files, that should fix the problem.

Sorry to say this, but it doesn't work.

When I delete the file it exactly happens what koohead describes - the game re-installs these grey backgrounds.

What works is what reds1 says: It took me a few tries as it didn't stick the first time, but that does it.

I can confirm the game creates the grey backgrounds if they are not in the backgrounds folder. Since I usually only play OOTP for the online league experience, I was not able to access the settings mentioned above. Instead, I made the background png files transparent and that seems to have worked to remove the grey background color in game.

I have attached the files in case anyone else needs / wants them.

Well, attaching didn't seem to help since it tries to show the picture instead of just attaching the file.
