I have a fictional version of the old Denver Bears team done somewhere, which I wanted to update since I've gotten new templates. I have also planned on a Colorado Springs team as well. I'll try to post both soon.

Also: might I suggest Oysters or Throttle Jockeys as the nickname?

What could you envision as possible looks for teams with the following names? You can take them as possible suggestions or as possible requests, whichever you prefer, of course.
Baltimore Anthems (Inspired by the National Anthem) Dayton Bombers (Major Air Force base nearby, if I remember correctly) Delaware Chemists (Major chemical industry here, I think) Kansas Meadowlarks (State bird, I believe) South Carolina Stingrays (Common around there, I think) Wheeling Steelers (In mining/industry area) Wisconsin Farmers (Lot of dairy farms and the like) Boise Raptors (Plenty of birds out West) Boulder Cyclists (Lot of bikers nearby, if I'm not too mistaken) Cheyenne Warriors (Major American Indian/Native American tribe nearby) Reno Renegades (Desert outlaws, in essence) Santa Fe Heat (Lot of hot weather in the desert) Tacoma Whirlwinds (Very windy and all in the Northwest) Utah Golden Spikers (Inspired by the Transcontinental Railroad bit) If you decide to make sets for any of them, if not all, then I'd really like to see what you can come up with, where and when possible. As would others, I believe, who are looking for possible new teams for their various leagues as well. Thank you for your time and attention, and thanks again for making a complete set of uniforms, caps, and logos for the Great Plains Bisons. CD out. |

What about calling the Colorado Springs team you were thinking of creating the Colorado Springs Ascent? I have at least one team called that in one or more of my leagues/saved games/dynasties, for sure, or will. CD out.

What about Magnates for Nebraska, for example? Farmers can work for teams in multiple states, not just teams in Iowa, Nebraska, or Wisconsin, of course.
In one or more of my saved games/dynasties, I have a Western Baseball League with the following teams in two subleagues/divisions: North Division: Minnesota Loons Dakota Pheasants Montana Copper Kings Wyoming Cowboys Utah Beekeepers Yakima Goldfinches Idaho Pioneers Nebraska Magnates South Division: Austin Airhogs New Mexico Spelunkers Topeka Skyfleeters Las Vegas Fortune-Hunters California Monks Flagstaff Canyoneers El Paso Diablos Colorado Centennials Most, if not all, of those teams do not actually have looks for them, it seems, at the moment, as of the 1912 season, if not other seasons as well. Whether for uniforms, logos, or caps, if I remember correctly. I don't know how many of you may actually have teams by any or all of those names, et cetera, of course. But if you don't, then perhaps you might find those team names and locations suitable ones for use in your own games, I think. I think I do have at least one potential suitable enough set for the Diablos at present, if not more than one, but not so sure about ones for the other teams listed above, to be completely honest here. In any case, I'd really like to see if anyone else might have any sets that might fit those names, or if they might be willing and/or able to make them, if they haven't already. Thank you for your time and attention here, then, everyone. CD out. |

More name suggestions/requests related to a Minnesota-based league of some sort:
North Division: Bemidji Lumberjacks Brainerd Lakers Duluth Freighters Iron Range Miners Moorhead Prairie Dogs St. Cloud Knights South Division: Mankato Riverbenders Minneapolis Muskies Rochester Diamondox or Diamond Docs St. Paul Governors St. Peter Saints (Inspired by local high school, St. Peter High School, in St. Peter) Willmar Cardinals Have plenty more team name ideas in mind now, if not already listed in various threads here on the forums. Many of which I've probably not yet used in any of my various saved games/dynasties before. Whether in past ones which were likely abandoned or deleted, or in present ones. And even if I've not really progressed on any or all of them for at least a little while of late, for various reasons. Thank you for your time and attention, then, folks. CD out. |

What font did you do or any chance for an Atlantis Sharks set? Or at least a ATS & A for those logos?

...not about suggestions and requests. If you have large amounts of requests start a new thread. That's the polite thing to do.

Not trying to hijack any threads, for sure, sir. I was mentioning possible team names that could be used, whether or not they have been in the past. It is entirely up to the opening poster in this thread whether he considers them as suggestions or as requests, not the rest of us, with all due respect.
I put the team names out there for others to potentially use, if they haven't already, or even if they have. It makes no real difference to me whether they have used them before, or if they're using them now, or if they will. I was just trying to help other players of either the baseball or hockey game series come up with potentially usable team and/or league names, that's all. I understand where you are coming from, sir, and I do agree that one should not always be requesting things without being willing to be patient and give others the chance to make their own requests as well, in like manner, as they await the eventual potential delivery of the requested items. I don't expect my existing requests in various threads to be delivered for some time yet, and I don't necessarily need most of them filled very quickly from now, in truth. Especially because I have other things besides OOTP 18 to occupy my time with, periodically, of course, just as we all do, no doubt. For me, things like writing my stories, for instance. As I said above, it is entirely up to the original poster in this thread whether or not he considers the mentioned potential team and/or league names as design requests or as mere suggestions for team and/or league names, sir. And that's all I am planning to say about this matter right now, at least, if not for a long time or permanently, at least in relation to THIS thread, for sure. If anyone wants to pick my brain for other potential team or league or association names, so to speak, I'm quite willing to try and help them as I can, whenever I can. They can do it privately or they can just ask me in the forums, of course, and if I know they have, I'll certainly try to help them as much as I can, whenever I can, for sure. I am not expecting quick deliveries of the items I've recently requested for sure in the forums. If they are filled sooner, then great. If not, if at all, that's fine with me as well. I can wait for them to be attended to, if needed, seeing as I do plenty of other things at various times in my life, of course. Thank you all for your time and attention here, and be well, each one of you, as possible, then, Lord willing, I hope. Until next time, please stay as safe as possible, et cetera, if you can. CD out. |

I keep finding myself checking this thread first thing when I get home from work every day anxious to see what new sets you have created. Keep up the awesome work. Its awesome having another great uni creator giving us more options for our fictional leagues.

I appreciate the ideas, thanks. I try to stay away from using actual state names. It gives me an idea for a 50-team state league, though. Maybe a future project.
