Need Some Quick Advice

I'm in the playoffs, had a great year, I want to (%^$#(^$#) win it all. I need some help on pitcher stamina. If I pull a starter after five innings with a low pitch count, say 70-80 pitches, will his stamina recover quicker to 100% as opposed to him pitching 95-105 pitches? I want to try a 3 pitcher rotation if I can.
Secondly, during the season I never used a starter unless he was 100% rested. If I use a starter who is lets say, 85-90% will I see a difference in his performance or will he just tire faster.

Thanks in advance for the feed back.

A starting pitcher may not exactly recover to 100% quicker, but he will be at a higher rest % each day than he would have otherwise been with more pitches thrown.

Depending on his stamina, he may be able to throw those same 70-80 pitches without a problem with only 4 days rest instead of needing 5. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it should affect his performance unless you see that the player starts the game "slightly tired" or worse, and I think that only happens at some lower rested % level.

I do this with my best starting pitchers because I like them to hand off to the relievers earlier to minimize the number of times the starter pitches through the opposing lineup in a game. Then I can use the pitcher every 4 days.

Also, I think when you look at the SP the day after he pitched, the rest % on that day tells you how much stamina he had left before he would have become slightly tired. So if you see 0%, that means he pitched until slightly tired or worse. That maybe can give you an idea of how much stamina he'd need on day 4 to pitch that same number of pitches without getting tired in that game either.
