OOTP19 ... Delete OOTP 18?
I have OOTP18 and 19 on my computer. I doubt I will use OOTP18 now that I have OOTP19. My question is can I uninstall OOTP18 without messing up OOTP19? AND is this a good idea?
Also in OOTP19 how do you delete SAVED GAMES that you are not playing anymore? Appreciate the time and info. Thanks. |

You can certainly delete 18, because you can always re-install it again later if you need to.
When you uninstall 18, I believe it will prompt you whether to delete your saved games. Alternately you can do so directly in your file structure by going to the saved_games folder and deleting any folders you don’t want. If you have migrated any of these saves to 19, it never hurts to hang on to the versions from 18 just in case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Load a game that you want to keep because you can’t delete the active game. Go to the load game screen again and highlight the game that you want to delete. The delete button will now be available for you.

Thanks for the assistance.
If I uninstall OOTP18, I'm not sure how I would reinstall it, I do not have a disc from which to reinstall. I must be missing something somewhere. |

If you had a directly installed version of OOTP 18, you can always re-download the software from OOTP's site. I don't recall the URL, but someone here will have it. All you REALLY need to preserve is your license key. You should have that in an e-mail from when you bought the game. Make sure you hang onto that just in case.

In case you want to return to OOTP18 later you can always download it using the links here ... but I don't expect you to do this

Make sure all of your logos, caps and jerseys are in the /ootp19/ folder and not just imported from '18

always keep that custom stuff in safe 2nd location. copy/paste as you need to each year, but always keep it safe elswhere.
i keep last year's game until i am playing the current year's game 100% of the time... once i notice it's been sitting for months, i delete it. i do let it rot for a long time.. make sure i don't forget something that i want to keep or to add to the safe 2nd location repository. this year i may transfer over a league, too. you only need the .lg directory, not the old game installed. i'm sure storage isn't a problem for most people, so no biggie. keep it until next april, if you want. |
