Here is the thing I'm trying to explain. I play in 3D. Before this update, I would hit the enter button to pitch (one pitch mode), the play happens and then up top it comes on "hit any key or click mouse to continue". I hit the enter key and the next batter is up. I hit the key again to pitch again. Just that quickly, hit key, play results, hit key, hit key. That's how quickly it would go. Gave a nice flow to the game.

Now, it doesn't do that. I hit the key to pitch, play results, "hit any key etc" comes on, hit the key and instead of the next batter I get the "working icon spinning around for 2-3 seconds, then the next batter is up. I does this for every batter, now for me.

Glad it's working fine for others. I miss the click, click, next batter, click, click, next batter etc. Hope you understand what I'm trying to describe.

I am having the same problem. I play out each game and there's a couple second pause between each batter that has never been there before update. I have tried what others suggested on this thread and still running into the delay. At times, it even pops up as "not responding" for a little while, then eventually kicks in. But the annoying delay between each batter and each screen is still there. I play 3D

This is clearly not some isolated incident. I'm going to wait, despite my desire for the multi player shop a player(s) feature which sounds great.

For those with the "wait" it might, and I emphasize MIGHT, be worth it to add exceptions in your anti-virus software for the OOTP executable and the OOTP folder. Also, too, it would be helpful if all of those experiencing these new delays would add some more info as to what types of system they're using. OS, anti-virus, and video card would be good starts. Maybe we can find a similarity among those having the problem.

any chance the new expert optimized graphics option is impacting the 3D rendering? Trying toggling that (or make sure it's not enabled by default)?

It is worth checking this setting. It is disabled by default for me. I am not having the issue, sorry for others that are. The more information you can provide about settings etc., the better for trying to diagnose the problem.

That might be something to try. It says the default is off. If you put it on it's slower, it says. Maybe the default IS enabled. Backwards.

Just tried switching the option and got the same results. Disabled it again. I can even read the news in the game normally, either. click on an email and it takes a few seconds to open. The messages you get in the game. I used to beable to click, click, click right through them. Not no more.

Also, it was mentioned about the new right click to insert player in the lineup, I right clicked and nothing happens. I could left click, but not the new right click.

On the expert tab, is your number of helper threads = 8?
