Sample Size

I know it's probably just sample size, but damn, it really does feel like when you play out games that you only turn 1 in 10 DP attempts. Even balls that look like prototypical DP balls in the animation, seems like every play the guy covering second gets wiped out at second or just holds the ball too long.

Just venting.

look at recent league histroy or just at end of year with a lot of give/take. is it near the #'s you see on bbreference.com? maybe it isn't in your head, maybe it is.

total dp, i don't think ootp splits lined out and ground out dp's as i think baseballreference shows, but there is a total dp column too.

I know the feeling because I've put together the best defensive team in my league and I play out all the games and sometimes it feels like I go two or three games with no double plays despite having multiple opportunities.

Maybe it's a coincidence and things just seem different because I'm playing every game out.

Check team stats in game. This will give you a way to compare with Baseball Reference.

Guess I can't complain too much.

I'm pretty close to 1 DP per game, which seems around the neighborhood of MLB, and I have close to the most in my league.

~shrug~

My team ZR is far and away a league-lowest -17.6, too.

So of course, last night we execute double plays in two consecutive innings to hold onto a 5-4 victory.

Some times the baseball gods listen.
