What were your big trade deadline acquisitions?
Really curious to see what you guys have done! Any of you go for that blockbuster? Or lay low to strike at that right player?

MY current team has the worst budget ever. But I managed to get some cash and trade a avg prospect for Buster Posey at the deadline he was only owed 6 mil rest of season and I had that in cash.
Couldn't resign him think he signed 6 years 28 mil after that. This was probably like 2021 or 2022 too. But he is still in beast mode. |

i don't give the price gougers the time of day at the trade deadline
![]() i cover for x amount of injuries that i believe are the most i can possibly recover from and still make the playoffs. if that's not enough i won't sacrifice anything earmarked for future needs. i guess if it's non-detrimental i may trade for an RP on occasion. if anything gets a bit thin on my teams, it is high-end Relievers. i definitely won't pay those exorbitant prices for anything but a very useful players... avoiding "very good" on purpose, but it has to be a larger role and not a backup / seldomly used pitcher. a catcher for 6 years 28m and he's how old by 2021... no worries you didn't want that dead weight anyway. 3 or four of those years are likely to be veritable dumpster fires relative to that price. I'm in the Jerry di Poto league of trading but weirdly enough have never made a trade at the deadline.
