Auto-adjust grid not working?

Hello,

Weird issue that I can't seem to work out.

I'm at the final stages of completing a model for my Portland franchise and I can't get the auto-alignment to work.

When I select the bases in the 3D model the fences aromatically align at almost a ninety-degree angle?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

Yeah, I am; that's the weird thing. I place all three dots (like so) and the grid turns up way below the "ground" of the model and off to the left, as in the first picture.

I fixed this issue through a lot of trial and error; I'm not sure exactly what step fixed the issue but I did the following.

- copied my model piece by piece into a new file. (ie, not Ctrl+A & Ctrl + C)
- Deleted any parts of the model that were below the axes, raising the whole thing by a few inches.
- De-Grouped everything.
