OOTP 19 Minor league manager question
am playing a historical game starting in 1946 and took a job as a minor league manager.
Is there any way to cut down on the amazingly redundant and constant transactions when managing the minors. I understand making it a challenge and losing players on occasion but what is happening is 1 day 9 players get called up and 9 get sent down to me then the next day the same 9 switch again then 2 days later 8-10 more players switch places. Am I missing something? At this point I'm not even resetting the lineups anymore because it has become a major annoyance. Between 8-1 and 8-23 there were 13 days where players were called up and sent down 102 called up and 102 sent down. Kinda crazy |

You're getting 8-10 players called up and sent down every day? That doesn't sound normal... |

8-10 sounds a bit high but yes unfortunately the AI rate of calling players up and down isn't too realistic in OOTP. It does get annoying when you are a minor league manager.

I know my minor leagues are usually ravaged by injury and since I have service time and roster limits on its forces a lot of moves all the time.
But even then its still not 8 a day. |

To the suggestion forum: "frequency of call-ups/send-downs," similar to the trade frequency setting.

It is annoying, though I only have maybe 3 new players in a transaction about once per week I think. But that's playing modern era at AAA. I think that the lower your league level, the more changes you will have to suffer through since most any playing going on or coming off of the DL in any league higher than you may create a cascade effect to every lower league.
There's also big changes when the ML rosters are expanded. I see an option in the league settings to not allow roster changes by the AI for the league. Maybe that would fix the problem, but create another problem of teams not being able to deal with injuries, and also not being able to move up prospects that are improving. If that works, you could toggle it off every once in a while to allow changes to be made periodically instead of every day. Though if playing at the AAA level and the ML team has an injury and would have wanted to call up one of your players, they may instead end up calling up a much weaker replacement from AA. |

Roster limits will help a little bit with this. Unfortunately it creates another annoying problem. The AI will start signing and releasing minor league free agents. Sometimes the same player 4-5 times a week. There is no perfect way. You just pick the one that is the least annoying.
