Man I would sell my soul to be rid of the Earthquake Shakes

Does 2D play really need a transition from day to night? Nope. Most annoying feature ever created for a game.

Question, is it possible to get rid of all the on field position player info boxes?

Do you mean 3D? I've never seen my 2D images change from day to night.

I'm guessing you don't mind the awful default alignments the game ships with. The batter batting from the on deck circle etc. If I could stand the awful alignments, I wouldn't notice the transition either. But, I like to move the info boxes. I just wish I could do it once and have it work for both day and night. Instead, until you've played a game at every park you get earthquakes.

Also when have you went to a game where it turned from bright daylight to night in the blink of an eye?

Alright, I've finally figured out how to set day and night to the same coordinates. Only took my dumb butt 2 years to do so. Still think the day to night in 2D is silly, but I at least I can manually rid myself of the earthquake shakes. Sorry for my beef.

Wow. I just saw it, David Watts. For the first time ever I just saw a 2D park change from day to night. Don't think it did that in ootp18. Gotta admit it is a little abrupt, but thought it was cool.

Also noticed that there is a transition from day, evening (sunset) and night sky background for 3D parks that do not have skyline backgrounds. Would be cool if they extended that to 2D images and allowed us to have a day, evening and night 2d image to smooth out the transition from day to night.

It was in 18. The whole day to night thing isn't that big a deal if you have your info boxes set to the exact same coordinates day and night. I can't play OOTP using the default positioning. I like to unclutter the infield so I have only the runners on base. I position the infielders and outfielders, so they are easily viewable. In past versions, I could simply drag and drop. Can't do that anymore. If the coordinates aren't exactly the same it's really ugly to see.

The easiest solution would be to allow us to set day and night coordinates one time and use our setting for every park. Instead, you have to set day and night coordinates for each and every park.

The gradual deal in 3D makes sense. The instant daylight to pitch black darkness in 2D is silly.

How did you fix it? This is the crap that has made it almost impossibe for me to get into the game this year. Usually takes me a few leagues before I finally settle into one but each one I have to adjust everything all the time. Please share

There is no fix. As long as the game schedules games that transition from day to night, you are going to get the earthquake shakes. If you have the coordinates for the on field info boxes set to exactly the same for day and night, the earthquakes are a lot less noticeable, because the info boxes don't move. The only thing that is rather alarming is the instant change from daylight to pitch black darkness. I'm guessing this is a product of 3D having the gradual transition from daylight to night. With 2D the game can't do gradual.

By the way, thank you so much for saying you witnessed the "shakes." For two years now this issue has been my own personal sasquatch. I finally have you to defend my sanity
