Prospect Strategy Setting
Apologies if this is in the manual, but I have read and read it, searched everything I can imagine, but am clueless...
Could someone explain what the four boxes below mean, and how they are used when a GM does his job? |

Umm.... There are many editor tabs.
This is located in the bottom right side panel for a team's scout, assuming you have editor enabled by filling in the Commissioner's Mode box under Manger Options. It can be accessed via Front Office, then Personnel, then clicking on the team scout. No clue what it does or is intended to do. Last edited by Drstrangelove; 06-20-2018 at 11:47 AM. |

My guess would be that this dictates how much of their total budget they'd put into each of the budgets for those things.

Yep. That's the primary focus to set budgets for each category. So the above GM will tend to spend a little less in the draft, and a little more on scouting than an "average" GM (although obviously that will vary on their situation - rebuilding teams still tend to increase draft budgets more than win-now teams).

One more question, when you say he will spend less on the draft, I assume this means on signing draftees, not scouting (assume that is in the scouting budget allocates %). Last edited by DaBears; 06-21-2018 at 09:28 PM. |

i think that draft-related money gets set aside in budget? i don't play with it on, so not sure. you'd see it in front office or accounting.
this would be for the scouting budget allocations ... possibly IAFA spending? but i think the last part is more about budget space, i'd hope, but if it conflicts the sliders would be important for that decision. i think they start to cannibalize each other if you set them all max. also, the ai won't spend more than X of baseline for scouting/dev budgets. |
