Hello. Anyone with a photo of J. J. Putz in a Pilots Uni? Awhile back there was a photo of him pitching in the Pilot uni. Don't see it anymore. If anyone has that photo. Can they please post it. The photo he was pumping his fist as he was going off the field. Thanks for the time and any response. Thank You.

Hey all,

I was looking for a color pic of OF Dave Hengel while with the Mariners. In doing some research I determined that he was in the Topps Vault - File KH #661-662.

Alas, my KH folder does not go that high. Can anyone determine if 1) those images are of him with Seattle and please post them? And 2) If not him, might be able to offer their own color pic? Thanks in advance!

Pictured here during spring training with the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, Bates was preparing to go 1-18 with a 6.90 ERA as their #3 starter. Needless to say, he did not appear in the majors again.

After the mass exodus of Cleveland's star players in 1899, McAllister assumed the starting Right Fielder duties. He responded with a splendid .237 batting average, .297 slugging % and -2.2 WAR.

He somehow managed to latch onto the new Detroit American League franchise and became a serviceable player.

Of the many problems the 1899 Cleveland Spiders had on the baseball diamond, the position of Catcher wasn't one of them. Schrecongost shared starting duties with Joe Sugden and hit .313 through 43 games. It became apparent that he was too good for such a terrible team so he was shipped off to St. Louis to conclude the season.

He is pictured here in spring training for Cleveland in 1899.

Concluding my research into the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, here is a longtime veteran of the early Cleveland franchise. He began playing for Cleveland in 1887 and was their starting catcher all the way through 1897, becoming most notable for being Cy Young's battery mate.

He is pictured here with Cleveland in 1899 and hit .342 in 20 games at age 38. He then became far too valuable an asset to languish on the Spiders so ownership sent him packing to Louisville to finish off the 1899 season.
