Fictional players showing up

Good morning everyone I am playing a historical league and I have ghost players on and also no fictional players going to the bigs.

I have been noticing a lot of players who have no real playing record along with no photo.

What is my old man brain doing wrong, I love the real minors in my historical league but can't figure old where the unknowns are coming from.

unknown as in ballplayer jones? those are not fictional players, but players whose first name is not known.

do you have "create fictional players" checked on the page where the Am. draft setting are? if so, uncheck it.
do you have international complex or international free agents on the player creation page? All those will create fictional players unless they are turned off.

not at my game, but i think there are a couple more auto generating things that create fictional players. i know there are more on the player page just can't recall what they are right off. you need to have all those setting on "None". Such as scouting discoveries # per team.

hope some of this helps. basically go through all your league settings and make certain anything that creates players on it's own is unchecked, except import historical rookies. you want that one for certain.

What is the difference between Ballplayer Jones and U Jones? I thought Ballplayer was fictional while U was real.

Ballplayer Jones is real, first name not known. U Jones is real as well, only first initial known.

Did not know that, obviously, thank you, I had a vague recollection of when I saw “Ballplayer” and went to his player profile there would be no Real Life Stats Tab. Now I know better, learn something every day.
