I'd imagine it has something to do with your process and talent evaluation. Maybe you're not recognizing when players are declining, even if it's a subtle change. Maybe it's your park factors and how it affects players. Could be you're emphasizing certain skills that aren't as valuable as you thought.
If over a 15+ year period you're not doing as well as you'd like, it isn't the game, it's the way you're evaluating talent. You might have a fluke year or two of bad luck, but at that point it's how you evaluate talent. |
